If you’re traveling through ILG, please note vending machines, including hot coffee and food, are available in the gate area. We also offer a water bottle refill station. Currently there are no food services in the terminal other than the vending in the gate area. There are nearby options, such as The Legend’s Restaurant on the airport property, and numerous fast-food and convenience store options close by. Wilmington Airport (ILG) Terminal Expansion is Now Open.
ILG’s newly expanded terminal adds 6,000 square feet, a second gate, and a dramatically larger passenger holding area designed for a more comfortable, low-stress experience. Travelers will notice 200+ additional seats with power/charging, upgraded pre-security restrooms, improved lighting, and a smoother arrivals process with a new baggage carousel. More upgrades are coming next, including post-security restroom updates, a future second TSA screening line, and new food options expected in late 2026. TSA FEE FOR NO REAL-ID BEGINS FEbruary 1, 2026
Starting February 1, 2026, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will charge a $45 fee for travelers who do not have a REAL ID or other acceptable form of identification and want to fly. This fee allows passengers to use the new TSA Confirm.ID system for identity verification, but it does not guarantee their identity will be verified or that they will be granted access to the airport's sterile area.
